Basil Bruschetta with Cannabis
Basic Basil Recipe
- 4 to 5 medium sized tomatoes; we use Roma tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2-4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 handful of large basil leaves (6-10 leaves)
- Handful of canna leaves chopped (6-10 leaves)
- Canna leaves set aside for garnish of each slice
- 1 Dash of lemon juice (from small wedge, optional)
- Grilled or toasted crusty bread, for serving
Cannabis Infused Recipe #1

- 1-3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1-2 tablespoons of cannabis-infused oil
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 handful of large basil leaves (6-10 leaves)
- Handful of canna leaves chopped (6-10 leaves)
- Canna leaves set aside for garnish of each slice
- 1 Dash of lemon juice (from small wedge, optional)
- Grilled or toasted crusty bread, for serving
Oil-Free / Moringa Cannabis Infused Recipe
- 4 to 5 medium sized tomatoes; we use Roma tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- I handful of large basil leaves (6-10 leaves)
- Handful of canna leaves chopped (6-10 leaves)
- Canna leaves set aside for garnish of each slice
- 1 – 3 teaspoons of decarboxylated cannabis, keif or hash
- 1 Dash of lemon juice (from small wedge, optional)
- Grilled or toasted crusty bread, for serving
Directions
- Slice bread into rounds or desired shape. Preheat oven or toaster oven to 350 F.
- Chop tomatoes, garlic, canna leaves and basil. Add them to a bowl.
- If using oil, add 1 tablespoon now.
- If using moringa, add 1 teaspoon now.
- If using cannabis oil, add now.
- Mix well.
- If needed, add more olive oil.
- Squeeze a small wedge of lemon over the mixture. Add very little juice at first. Add more if necessary. Do not add more than 1/2 teaspoon or it may taste too lemony.
- Toast bread. Top with mixture and serve. Or, serve bread and let guests top their own!
Superfood Nutrition
Cannabis is a superfood, so adding decarboxylated cannabis flower is a great way to sneak in some of this magical plant. It’s true that decarboxylated cannabis is technically cooked, which decreases nutrients, but this is true for any food.
